  • Full-featured Gamma-ray spectrometry software bGamma, at package cos

Topaz-Pico

Introduced May 2013, the Topaz-Pico is a compact, stand-alone digital Multi-Channel Analyzer (MCA). Its pocket-size and low power consumption makes it attractive to the portable radiation monitoring market.

The PCB board alone is available separately to OEM customers.

Main features:

  • Two modes of acquisition: Pulse Height Analysis (PHA) and Multi-Channel Scaling (MCS)
  • Up to 4096 channels
  • Analog amplification factor from 1 to 16
  • Digital pulse processing using the traditional trapezoidal shaper
  • Built-in digital Baseline Restorer (BLR) and Pile-Up Rejector (PUR)
  • High-voltage supply of up to 1500V
  • Size: 107 x 72 x 19mm, PCB alone is 80 x 60mm

Topaz-Pico BNC

The TOPAZ-Pico BNC is a special version of the compact Topaz-Pico Multi-Channel Analyzer, where the Lemo connectors have been replaced by standard BNC ones.

  • Size: 127 x 72 x 19mm

Topaz-Pico BNC

The Topaz-SiPM is a miniature MCA designed specially for SiPM detectors. With a size of only 7 x 4.5 x 2.6cm, the Topaz-SiPM is the smallest of the Topaz MCA series and very likely the smallest full-featured MCA in the market.

  • Advanced baseline noise reduction techniques to improve performance with noisy SiPMs
  • 5V low-ripple, low-noise supply for the SiPM preamplifier
  • Additional programmable External I/O can be used as an external counter input or SCA output
  • USB 2.0 communications interface
  • Powered from the PC via the USB cable
  • Size: 70 x 45 x 26mm, PCB alone is 63 x 39mm

Topaz-X

Introduced Feb 2014, the Topaz-X is a compact, stand-alone digital Multi-Channel Analyzer (MCA) for Energy Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence Analysis.

The PCB board alone is available separately to OEM customers.
